The Wimmer family has been in Las Vegas since 1989. After relocating from Moreno Valley, it started when Wayne Wimmer got a job as an A/C tech with a small, family-run company. He learned a lot, enjoyed what he did, and decided to make AC & heating in Las Vegas and Henderson his career. He was so happy he finally found a great job to support his wife, Elaine, and two boys, Christopher and Eric. A couple of years went by, and Wayne was moving up in the company and their family was doing well. He planned on quitting his 2nd job and really focusing on air conditioning in Henderson and Las Vegas. Then, in the blink of an eye, a medical catastrophe happened and the Wimmer family lost their Matriarch. They were devastated, but stayed determined to keep pushing forward in her honor. With Elaine gone, Wayne had to continue to work his second job to support his young boys. On top of working a 40+ hour week for the A/C company, he also worked the night shift stocking shelves in a grocery store 3 days a week. He barely saw his boys but he kept both of the jobs for 8 long years, just to give Chris and Eric a good life.
Eventually the boys started growing up and going on AC jobs with their dad just to get a few extra hours to spend with him. They began learning the ropes of air conditioning and heating just by watching and helping Wayne while he worked. Within a few more years Chris and Eric grew so passionate about HVAC that they got jobs with their dad straight out of high school. They would compete with each other to see who had the most perfect, clean-looking, and smooth running install. They would show up on jobs as newbies and quickly got nicknames from the other service workers, just for being so young and knowledgeable in the A/C business. They were fast, young, and really good at what they did. They interacted with customers as if they had known them for years and quickly built trust around the Las Vegas Valley. Over the years they continued to learn everything they could about HVAC and soon they became the A/C guys everyone wanted. Companies big and small have fought to get the Wimmer’s on their payroll.
After over 20 years of working for companies that didn’t quite match his morals, Chris sat down and made a list of all the goals he wanted to achieve by the time he was 40 years old. One of those goals was to start his own HVAC business. Now, being a dad himself, it is time to teach his own son the value of hard work and being honest. He wants to get back to being the old-school neighborhood service guy. He wants to be the little guy who doesn’t need to overcharge his customers just to cover his expensive overhead charges. He wants to be the good guy who will tell his customers the truth rather than lie just to make money. He wants to do more for his community and to bring out the best air conditioning in Las Vegas.
